The competition, chaired by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports and jointly organized by the Hanoi Press and Broadcasting Agency and Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company, aims to promote the image of the capital city, boost tourism, cultural industries and the creative economy; and introduce the value of Pho to a wide audience both domestically and internationally.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, a representative of the Organizing Committee affirmed that the competition is a concrete step towards turning heritage into a resource for the development of the cultural industry; and expressed hope that it will discover many new ideas and create cultural IP products with Hanoi’s identity, capable of being applied in media, tourism , and cultural promotion activities, thereby contributing to enhancing the brand value of Hanoi Pho in contemporary life.

The goal of the competition is to create a new way of recognizing and a modern approach to this heritage, which is closely linked to the lives of the people of the capital city. Through today’s launch ceremony, we hope to receive the active participation of young people who love Hanoi, love its cuisine, and are interested in the culture of the capital city. We expect to receive many creative ideas to jointly promote and develop the value of this unique intangible cultural heritage.”

The competition accepts entries in various formats such as sketches, photographs, short videos, digital media products, heritage branding, and creative cultural IP ideas. The application package includes: A competition registration form; the submitted artwork; and author(s) information including: full name, year of birth, address, citizen identification number, phone number, and workplace (if applicable). Authors should submit their entries online from July 24th to September 30th, 2026 to the email address [email protected].
