According to the report presented at the conference, the 2026 Kiến Hưng ward defense combat exercise took place over 1.5 days with 4 phases, 7 training issues, and 20 contents, under the direction of the Hanoi City Defense Zone Exercise Steering Committee and specialized agencies of the Hanoi Capital Command.
The exercise effectively implemented the mechanism of “Party leadership, government administration; military, police and other departments and agencies providing advice,” leveraging the combined strength of the entire political system. The Ward Military Command closely coordinated with other forces, organizing training and live exercises according to plan; the scenarios were handled realistically, with smooth coordination, ensuring correct tactics and absolute safety. The exercise completed all its content and program, achieving the set objectives and requirements.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Nguyen Khac Nhan, Deputy Political Commissar of the Hanoi Capital Command, acknowledged and highly appreciated the preparation and organization of the exercise by Kien Hung ward. He affirmed that the locality had strictly adhered to the city’s directives, proactively developed plans, established working groups, meticulously prepared, and organized the exercise according to the content and program, ensuring principles and quality, and successfully achieving the set objectives.
The comrade stated that the experiences from the Kiến Hưng – Hà Đông – Phú Lương cluster exercise have been studied and absorbed by agencies of the Ministry of National Defense to improve the system of documents and procedures for defense combat exercises at the commune and ward levels, serving as a basis for unified implementation nationwide. He also congratulated Kiến Hưng ward and the participating forces for successfully completing the exercise.

Delivering a directive speech at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Tien Quyet, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Council, and Head of the Exercise Organizing Committee, emphasized that the exercise had been meticulously prepared, seriously conducted, and ensured quality, clearly demonstrating close coordination between forces and the high sense of responsibility of officers and soldiers. He affirmed that this was an important opportunity to test leadership, command, and operational capabilities, as well as the ability to coordinate combat operations, contributing to enhancing national defense and security capabilities and meeting the requirements of the mission in the new situation.

At the conference, Kien Hung ward awarded 12 collectives and 92 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the defensive combat drill.
