Specifically, regarding the enrollment quota for 10th grade in the 2026-2027 school year, according to Decision No. 1666/QD-SGDĐT dated March 31, 2026, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has assigned enrollment targets for 10th grade in the 2026-2027 school year to 124 public and high-quality public high schools, totaling 1,830 classes and 81,448 students. Of these, the Department has assigned quotas to 123 public high schools with 1,820 classes and 81,048 students; and to 1 high-quality public high school with 10 classes and 400 students.
Out of 123 public high schools, the Department assigned 4 specialized high schools with 78 classes and 2,730 students; and assigned 119 public high schools with 1,742 classes and 78,318 students.
In Decision No. 1665/QD-SGDĐT dated March 31, 2026, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training assigned enrollment targets for 10th grade in the 2026-2027 school year to 89 private high schools, comprising 817 classes and 34,059 students.
According to Decision No. 1664/QD-SGDĐT dated March 31, 2026, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has allocated enrollment quotas for grade 10 in the 2026-2027 school year to 29 vocational education and continuing education centers, comprising 262 classes and 11,675 students.
Regarding the enrollment targets for preschool, grade 1, and grade 6 for the 2026-2027 school year, according to Decision No. 1663/QD-SGDĐT dated March 31, 2026, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training assigns 2 preschools under its direct management with an enrollment capacity of 28 classes/groups with 740 children; and assigns 5 schools under its direct management (including Binh Minh Primary School, Ethnic Boarding School, Xa Dan Secondary School, Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School, and Khuong Ha Primary, Secondary and High School) to enroll 13 classes and 367 students in grade 1; and 13 classes and 460 students in grade 6.
In the 2026-2027 school year, the city will have 6 new high schools in operation, estimated to provide more than 3,000 new places for students, helping to reduce the pressure of 10th grade enrollment in the capital. Of these, 4 new public high schools will be added: Hoang Quan Chi High School (Yen Hoa Ward), Vinh Hung High School (Vinh Hung Ward), Viet Hung High School (Dong Anh Commune), and Xuan Khanh High School (Son Tay Ward). The private sector will add 2 new schools, expected to enroll students in the 2026-2027 school year: Tran Hung Dao High School (Vinh Tuy Ward) and Edison High School (An Khanh Commune).
